Équité Association Welcomes Two Distinguished Leaders to the Board of Directors

Équité Association is pleased to announce the appointment of two exceptional leaders to its Board of Directors: Geneviève Fortier and Suzanne Courtlander.

Geneviève Fortier, a visionary leader with an impressive track record, brings a wealth of experience to Équité. As CEO of Promutuel Assurance, she has successfully led a team of over 2,000 professionals, demonstrating exceptional strategic acumen and a deep understanding of the insurance industry. Her influential roles on the boards of prominent organizations such as Metro Inc., Investissement Québec, and the Canadian Association of Mutual Insurance Companies underscore her commitment to industry advancement. Geneviève’s numerous accolades, including the prestigious Knight of the Order National du Québec, speak to her outstanding leadership and contributions to the insurance industry and the community.

Suzanne Courtlander, SVP of Claims at Gore Mutual Insurance is a highly accomplished leader with a proven ability to drive operational excellence and deliver exceptional industry outcomes. With over 20 years of experience leading diverse teams, Suzanne brings a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges within the industry. Her successful track record, including the development of an advice centre program at TD Insurance, while also transforming the organizations Fraud Special Investigations Unit demonstrates her strategic thinking and ability to deliver tangible results. Suzanne holds a Juris Doctorate from The University of San Diego School of Law and is a Law Society of Ontario Licensee.
