2023 was a transformative year at Équité, resulting from significant progress of our multi-year strategy. As we enhanced engagement with industry stakeholders, we also heightened government and public awareness of the insurance crime landscape in Canada and continued to invest in leading-edge technology.

2023 Accomplishments

Another record-breaking year: Over 1,715 stolen vehicles were recovered at the Ports of Montreal and Halifax, valued at approximately $100 million.

ÉQ Insights uses ground-breaking predictive analytics and machine learning to detect and prevent insurance crime. Launched in 2023, the platform aims to increase efficiency and reduce manual efforts for investigators.

With hundreds of millions of impressions in 2023, Équité is the news media’s go-to resource for authoritative insight, comments, and quotes on insurance crime news stories that impact Canadians.

We delivered over $185 million in direct member value from auto and commercial cargo theft recoveries, Investigation Coordination and Support Services (ICSS), and analytics in 2023.
