The IFB is a not-for-profit company established in 2006 to lead the UK insurance industry's collective fight against insurance fraud.
IFB acts a central hub for sharing insurance fraud data and intelligence, using our unique position at the heart of the industry and unrivalled access to data to detect and disrupt organised fraud networks.
IFB uses a wide range of data and intelligence to achieve two primary objectives:
IFB operates a confidential Cheatline service for members of the public to report fraud. It also runs awareness campaigns to raise public awareness of insurance fraud scams: how they work and how to spot them, so that the chances of being caught out are reduced.
A recent press release from earlier this year shows IFB in action.
